Hotel La Misión Loreto is perhaps the nicest hotel in Loreto. The property is modern and beautifully maintained, with spacious, comfortable rooms and lovely views of the water. Its central location makes it easy to walk to the waterfront, restaurants, and shops. The staff is consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful, which really elevates the experience. The the Sunday brunch is a standout — well worth planning your stay around. An added bonus is the impressive and thoughtfully curated wine list. Overall, a wonderful place to stay in Loreto that combines comfort, location, and outstanding service. Highly recommended.
Best Location in Town

​Right on the Water I hadn't been to Loreto so looked at many hotels and initially wanted to stay at one of the smaller ones in town. After visiting Loreto, I'm glad I booked at Hotel La Mision. Why?

1. Location. In Loreto, you want to be on the water where everything is happening. It's beautiful and the best place to take a nice walk. It's a short distance to the dock where you can see pelicans and even blue-footed boobies diving for fish. They put on a real show that's fun to watch. This was a far better location than being a few blocks from the beach in town.
This is also a good place to be to catch a boat for whale-watching on the Sea of Cortez.
2. Rooms. They were spacious, clean and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms also feature balconies with chairs and a table where you can sit and read, watch people at the pool or walking on the promenade or just relax.
3. Restaurant. The food is outstanding. We were there almost a week and never had a bad meal and in fact, had lots of good ones. I recommend the local fish - tasty and well-prepared. The breakfast buffet is extensive and delicious. Mexican and American dishes. On weekends, they have music to accompany your dinner.
4. Staff. Very friendly and helpful and when I needed something, they were right there.
5. Spa. You can get a nice massage, and my partner got one and liked it too.
6. You can take a short stroll (10-minute walk) to the town center and see a church, town hall and on Saturday mornings, a market. There are statues and some history, although seeing everything won't take more than a couple of hours.
I hope I return to Loreto and if I do, I will definitely stay here.
Wonderful stay in the heart of Loreto
Very good stay, and beautiful hotel located near the center of Loreto, for easy access to restaurant and beach. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, helpful with any questions we had. Breakfast was super delicious! Rooms were very clean during our 5 day stay. During the New Years event they had, it was super organized with good food and vibes, making it a very fun atmosphere. They were very accommodating with our stay.

We have been on many cruises and none of them surpassed the quality of EVERYTHING at La Mision Hotel in Loreto. From the amazing food to the wonderful massage and facial to the meticulous care of our room….all surpassing our greatest expectations. From the moment we met the personable staff in the lobby to our last moments of gazing out at the magnificent view from our room…. we felt pampered and well taken care of. Your kind and caring staff - each person- made our stay one we will never forget. We plan to return as soon as possible.
