  • San Javier Town and Mission

    DISCOVER SAN JAVIER. We will drive by Van into the “Sierra La Giganta” just about 38 km southwest of Loreto, enjoying dazzling natural views along the way. Timeless and still undisturbed, San Javier remains the same village as when the Jesuit´s mission was founded giving us a perfect idea of the local past. We’ll visit the oldest olive gardens in the Baja, ancient cave paintings at “Cuevas Pintas”, and walk around the village to also see the mission temple of San Javier. Heading back to Loreto will give us the best moment to capture panoramic views of the area making this adventure an outstanding cultural encounter.


    Fishing by Panga any day!

    Different ways of fishing offering Loreto, Many skills are handed down from generation to generation. For decades now these families have mastered panga fishing by in-shore and bottom techniques. From the San Nicolas vicinity to Catalina Island, bottom fish are generally caught off the many points and in rocky shallow waters. Mainly hunting for: white sea bass, grouper, dogtooth snapper, triggerfish, and Yellowtail, which happen to be one of the strongest fighting fish. In-shore fishing is mainly done in shallow waters next to the beach.


    Coronado Island by Panga

    White sandy beach with Ramadas; many excellent dive and snorkel spots Dolphins, whales, manta rays, sea lions and more! Take a trip on one of our panga north to the Island of Coronado. Though it is the second smallest Island that lay parallel to the Loreto coastline, this Island has an abundance of marine and wildlife for you to encounter.

    Canipole Cave Painting

    This cave painting site close to Mulege is located 85 kilometers north of Loreto on highway 1 and 15 km more on roads. The cave paintings are associated with visions of the leaders.


    Whale Watching
    This unique opportunity to see the whales in their habitat is a must do trip. Close enough to touch and safe. These whales are in the safety of their famous Magdalena Bay and we watch as they play and nature their newborns. A Short 1.5 hour drives from Loreto to Lopez Mateos, two hours with the whales, afterwards a fresh seafood lunch of shrimp and fish and then a scenic ride back to Loreto
